Thanks to the Strengths Finder assessment, I found out five themes that are considered my good skills, which are responsibility, consistency, harmony, includer and adaptability. In these themes, responsibility surprises me the most because I consider myself sometimes losing focus on my job or what I am supposed to do. However, when looking back, I think the theme truly reflects my strength. For example, when working as a server in a restaurant during the summer, I always tried to do my best to make my customers happy while eating at the restaurant. I know that when I serve well, people will tip me well also. However, money was not the only reason for me to do my job. It was because I felt the responsibility to not only just serve the food but also want to make people have a good time when they are having me as a server. Therefore, I usually spend time to have a good conversation with them to make people relax after a long day at work. Another example is when I was the class president in my high school. Although it is not my job to get to know everyone in my class, I always love to do so because I want to understand my classmates so I could motivate them to contribute to the school activity. From talking to my friend who plays guitar really well but was always shy when standing in front of other people, I encouraged him to practice for the school band and he ended up playing at the end of the school year for the prom and never be shy anymore. These examples show me that responsibility is a big part that drives me to become a better leader in the future. I always want people to see me as a person they can believe in and ask for help when they need the most.
